Republican1 - or how about this? www.scragged.com/articles/democrat-disaster-cities

Republican2 - If forward is a huge unaccountable government who borrows trillions from communist China, believes in a utopia, killing small business, regulating America into socialist poverty, and then pats themselves on the back , THEN YA that one version of FORWARD.
======
Other1 - Though I'd get a response, just not that quick:) It's interesting to see how many right wing rants show up here on FB without much response. But I throw out a bit of Dem bait and the water quickly comes alive with fish. Republican2, what do you think led to our gov being in a position to borrow trillions from China? In large part the stage was set by Bush and the repub congess's and president off the past pushing to de-regulate the banking industry at ALL of our eventual cost. Republican1 - I always thought of those states and cities as American states and cities, not Dem or Repub state and cities. The right has done a pretty terrific job of dividing us!
=========
Republican3 - Sorry, going to have to disagree Other1. I have posted many "right wing rants", otherwise known as my opinion which I thought everyone was entitled too and every time I have been bashed by my more liberal friends. I love how Bush is still being blamed for all of our current problems even though he has been gone for what, 3 years? When is the current admin. going to start taking responsibility for its own actions. I think Republican1 is just trying to point out that when Dems are in charge, problems follow, doesn't matter which state and has nothing to do with them not being American state or cities. By the way, today is the day three years ago that Obama promised he would turn this country around in three years or he would be a one term president.
===============
Other2 - Is it the Republicans fault or the Democrats fault? Why don't we quit blaming each other and picking sides and just do something about it?
==============
Republican3 - That is true Other2, but the current two party system is what we are stuck with. Both sides are full of career politicians not citizen leaders like our founding fathers envisioned. we need to stop them with term limits and no lifetime benefits after they are done.
=============
Republican2 - SHOCKER, Other1, a dem playing the blame game on Bush. What happened with 1994 Clinton and Republican congress? Pelosi, Reid, and Obama in total control ... and? a goose egg. Stimulus, unemployment, Obamacare, etc. Obama passed up Carter as worst president ever. I could write a book of stout facts and dems would still play blame game. Under which president was Wall Street set up for the fall, Clinton. Fannie Mae freddie mac etc. all ownership goes to dems Barney frank dodd,. Bush blew it on wars Obama should have already ended as promised. Has he kept any promises?
==============
Other1 - Of course everyone is entitled to their own opinion. But unfortunately many conservatives think this means they are also entitled to their own set of facts. Reminds me of a great Mark Twain quote. “It ain’t what you don’t know that gets you into trouble. It’s what you know for sure that just ain’t so.”
Re: Bush still being blamed.
Certain pieces of legislation and actions (such as tinkering with tax policy and going to war) have long term effects. Is denying this and going blindly forward without learning from the past Responsible? To me this would be the height of irresponsibility! I think you hear people bemoan Bush so frequently not for who he was, but for what he did. Were still dealing with the train wreck he set in motion over a decade ago.
=========
Other1 - “Pelosi, Reid, and Obama in total control…” – one word for that; can you say filibuster? So if you’re so convinced the actions taken by the Obama administration and conges to halt the economic free fall we were in when he took office have been a failure, how do you explain the reality that you and most of the people you know have a job? I think the best ad hoc definition of the difference between a recession and a depression is that your neighbor loses his job in a recession but you lose your job in a depression. No doubt that the unemployment rate is still high and we all seem to be stretched a bit farther. But what would you have done differently?
==============
Other1 - I agree that simply playing a blame gave is not helpful and that we should all do something about it. But like Republican3 pointed out, the system we have is far from perfect, to put it mildly. I think one way out of this though is for individuals to truly see the clear differences between the two choices and choose accordingly. I suppose the big problem is “seeing clearly”. It seems ideology and money has combined to rig the system in such a way that many of us have become myopic. Maybee we should all chip in and buy the conservatives new glasses?

Other1 - I'd think after listening to this fella's comments someone would be more motivated to vote, but to do so while being informed. For most of us it's about the only voice we have to change the rot from within. (the Dems really, really should also have a viable primary this year for prez) Though I admit it's hard to argue with the point I think he is making that no matter who you vote for, there's a chance your views will not be truly represented.
=========
Other3 - ý"No single raindrop thinks it's the cause of a flood." In fact, about the only thing that seems to be truly effective at changing things in America non violently is boycotting. But so long as we continue to support the system with our votes, and time, and money. It will remain the same.
=========
Other1 - Great analogy, other than the fact that raindrops can’t think and change direction. What if they could? What if they decided to fall in a desert instead of a flood-plain? Wouldn’t they bring about a beautiful blooming oasis? The way I see it is people have already been boycotting the system via not paying attention to what’s going on at the top. Do you think the cronyism rife in both parties came about via the barrel of a gun? I don’t think so! I think it came about because enough people weren’t paying attention.
=========
Other3 - No, we are deffinatly in the state we're in due to colective ignorance and time. I do agree, another video you should look up, is "the confessions of an economic hit man" its a good video, better book. And its written by a former jackel in the CIA. And yeah, they could bring life to a desart. Just like we could bring life to our economy if we start thinking and changing our directions. We all need a leader. And a president is no leader. A president is a polititian.
==========
Other1 - I don't think anyone could become prez without also being a politician at heart. If he or she were leading 100 or even a thousand others? Then yea, they could probably be a leader and leave the politics out of it. But to be elected by millions of people with millions of opinions? I think almost by defenition you need to be a politician.And if the people are lucky, your a leader as well. I agreethis big old ship of a system we have is going to take leaders (truthfully, many leaders) to get all hands on deck in order to turn course. The big biz and other interests represent so much built up inertia that it's easy to become frustrated and just say &^%^*% it and throw in the towel. Sad thing is though, were all on the same ship regardles of our input or lack of. Thanks for the good args Other3. Have a good one.
